Flat files are a typical data source for warehouse projects. Here, you learn how to create a flat file source module. Modules are storage objects within projects that help you logically group source and target object definitions. Source modules hold metadata describing source systems from which you extract data. Target modules hold metadata describing your target data warehouse or data marts.
A flat file source module defines a connection to a folder that contains a number of flat file sample files. You learn how to use the wizard to import flat file metadata into the flat file source module.
Right-click the Files node and select New.
